SOLOM's home care service in Sollentuna is currently seeking engaged and responsible summer substitutes who want to help create a better daily life for our clients. About the position

As a healthcare assistant with us, you will have a varied workday where you contribute to a safe home, a dignified existence, and loving care for our clients. You will meet elderly people living at home who need support; many of them have multiple illnesses and extensive care needs. Your typical tasks will include:

  • Assisting with personal care, support, and services in the client's home
  • Planning and helping with cooking, shopping, laundry, and other household chores
  • Following care plans and documenting interventions according to current social guidelines
  • Collaborating with colleagues, nurses at the health center, guardians, and the client's relatives

Working hours vary and may be scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends, depending on the clients' needs.

About you

To succeed in this job, we expect you to have:

  • A high school diploma from the Health and Social Care program and a protected professional title as a healthcare assistant from the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare.
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
  • Experience working in elderly care, preferably in home care services.
  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to use email, Word, and work in operational systems.
  • A B-class driver's license and/or the ability to cycle, as we travel between clients by car, bike, or on foot.

About the recruitment process

Before a potential employment, you must present an extract from the criminal register and the suspicion register, as well as valid photo ID. You are responsible for ordering the extract yourself via the Police website. The extract to be presented is titled "Work in the home with elderly and persons with disabilities".

If you are called for an interview, you must be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden, by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EEA or a valid work permit.
